Keep America Beautiful

Scotts Miracle-Gro and Keep America Beautiful have partnered to create greater awareness of the benefits of community green spaces. With the assistance of associates from numerous departments, numerous community gardens and public green spaces across the U.S. have been revitalized and hundreds of thousands of brochures with tips for homeowners on how to maintain healthy lawns and gardens have been distributed.

Garden Writers Association of America - Plant a Row for the Hungry Program

ScottsMiracle-Gro and the Garden Writers Association encourage home gardeners to plant an extra row of produce to share the harvest with local shelters and food pantries. Each year, more than one million pounds of fresh produce help feed the hungry and homeless across America.

The National Garden - Washington, DC

ScottsMiracle-Gro is a founding sponsor of the National Garden in Washington, D.C. and has provided both financial and product support. The National Garden is the outdoor teaching facility of the U.S. Botanical Garden.

The New York Botanical Garden

A long-time supporter of The New York Botanical Garden our partnership was strengthened in 2004 by becoming the official sponsor of Home Gardening at The New York Botanical Garden. This initiative offers numerous educational programs and focuses on environmental stewardship principles.

Farms for City Kids

Founded by Karli and Jim Hagedorn, this unique educational program gives school-aged children from urban areas a chance to spend one week on a working dairy farm in Vermont. Students have the opportunity to interact with nature, while putting their classroom skills to work in a real-life setting. To date, approximately 4,000 students have participated in the program. Alliance for the Great Lakes

The Alliance for the Great Lakes and The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company have entered into a multi-year, regional partnership focused on public education about simple lawn care tips to enhance water quality.

The educational outreach program engages a variety of communication channels to reach homeowners in the Great Lakes region. As part of the partnership, advertisements, public service announcements, a web site, community outreach events and in-store education materials communicate homeowner proper lawn care, enhancing water quality and benefiting the environment.
